Mets get best of Devil Rays, 6-5

In a battle between two of the top teams battling for the second

half championship of the Minor A Division race, the Mets outlasted the

Devil Rays, 6-5, in a Fountain Valley Little League showdown played at

Mile Square Park.

Billy Bintner had a double and two RBI, David Tarbell delivered an RBI

triple, and Robert Johnson and Brett Hill each had RBI singles to help

the Mets record the key victory,

Jake Hyland had an RBI triple, Kevin Smisko hit three singles, and

Jeffrey Dang had an RBI single for the Devil Rays.

Angels 6, Orioles 1

The Angels scored three runs in the first inning and never looked

back.

Michael McMullen singled twice with two RBI and Garrett James doubled

to lead the Halos.

Ryan Haskin’s double was the big hit for the Orioles.

Yankees 10, Diamondbacks 6

Geoff Feltman had two singles and a pair of RBI, Johnny Brewer hit a

two-run single, Barry Neu and Mike Delicce each singled twice, and Zach

Cardenalli had a hit and RBI to power the Yankees. Ashley Fernandez had

an RBI triple, Jordan Fernandez singled twice, Nathan Lachenmyer had a

hit and two RBI, and Jordan Leemhuis had an RBI single for the D-backs.

Dodgers 9, Reds 8

John Spirk, Farzan Namvari, Joseph Green, and Chad Palsulich each had

key hits for the Dodgers; Mitch Myers had an RBI triple, Joe Fried

singled twice, and Jeffrey Godshall had an RBI single for the Reds.

MINOR B DIVISION

Devil Rays 8, Yankees 6

Kevin Dion singled and doubled, and also pitched three innings of

no-hit shutout ball, Nick Loukides had an RBI single, Cory Hilleboe had a

hit and two RBI, and Shaun Moore doubled with an RBI for the Devil Rays;

Jacob Bonham had an RBI triple to lead the Yankees.

Reds 14, Dodgers 6

Austin Fellenz homered, Mohammad Alasker singled twice and tripled,

Brittany Schutte singled three times, and Dylan Conley and Matt Ord each

tripled to power the Reds; Craig Sirois doubled to lead the Dodgers.

Angels 10, Braves 4

Andy Palacios hit a two-run double, Jakob Landmon had an RBI single,

and Magic Lucio doubled for the Angels; Michael James had an RBI triple

and James Dean Hinson had an RBI single for the Braves.

Mets 16, Royals 6

Chris Hales singled three times with an RBI, Dillon Auxier had three

singles, Neil Mira had a two-RBI single, and Jacob Gomez singled,

doubled, and had an RBI to lead the Mets; Daryl Foster had a two-RBI

double, Zack LaMantain doubled, and Joshua Schuchardt and Ryan Sharpe

each had an RBI single for the Royals.
