Mets defeat Angels, 11-4

The Mets gained another notch in the win column last week by
defeating the Angels, 11-4, in Fountain Valley Little League Minor A
Division play at Mile Square Park.
Michael Kang hit two singles and had two RBI, Andrew Stadnick had an RBI
triple and also singled, Robert Johnson had two hits and an RBI, and
David Tarbell had an RBI single for the Mets.
Skylar Winston singled and doubled and Trevin Sofferman tripled to
highlight the Angels offense.

Reds 2, Diamondbacks 1
Mitch Myers singled twice for the Reds; Jordan Leemhuis drove in the lone
run for the D-backs.
Dodgers 7, Orioles 3
Daisuke Nishikawa had three singles and two RBI, John Spirk singled twice
with an RBI, and Chad Palsulich had an RBI single for the Dodgers; Joshua
Troche singled twice for the Orioles.
Yankees 7, Devil Rays 7 (tie)
Zach Cardenalli singled twice and Jordon Santana and Johnny Brewer each
had an RBI single to lead the Yankees to the tie; Nelson Aviles had an
RBI double and single, Jeffrey Dang and Kyle Ziething each had an RBI
single, and Brandon Wilson had an RBI for the Devil Rays.
MINOR B DIVISION
Braves 11, Yankees 10
Michael James hit two inside-the-park home runs and had three RBI, Cheyne
Taylor had a two-RBI single, and Chris Van Vuuren tripled and scored
three runs for the Braves; Jacob Bonham singled twice, Cody Morad had an
RBI single, and Matt Thurston added an RBI for the Yankees.
Royals 8, Devil Rays 7
Zack LaMantain single home Ray Strazzulla with the game winning run in
the top of the sixth inning to complete the Royals’ comeback, which also
featured two hits and an RBI by Austin Israelsky, an RBI double by
Michael Coelho, and an RBI single by Ryan Sharpe. Shaun Moore singled and
had two RBI and Kevin Dion tripled for the Devil Rays.
Angels 7, Reds 1
The Angels’ Jakob Landmon tripled and singled, Greg Souders had two hits,
and pitchers Tyler James and Magic Lucio combined to hold the Reds to a
first inning run.
Mets 7, Dodgers 5
Dylan Auxier doubled, hit an inside-the-park home run, and ha two RBI,
Kyle Ball had a two-RBI single, and Ben Paparella had an RBI for the
Mets; Niles Marquez had a two-run double and single, Brian Enoka singled
twice with an RBI for the Dodgers; Garrett Olsen and Armando Mendoza
singled twice for the Dodgers.
