Club soccer: OCU Sting advance to semifinals

SAN BERNARDINO - The OCU Sting, a boys under 17 club soccer gold
team, completed the quarterfinals of the State Cup with two quarterfinal
wins last weekend.
The Sting knocked off the AV Heat, 3-2, in double-overtime, then blanked
the Valley United, 1-0.
In game one, goals Ryan Lancaster had two goals, including the
game-winner, while Chasen Marshall added a single tally.
Federico Moreno scored the game’s lone goal off a pass from Ryan Denman
in game two.
The offense was led by Billy Lund, Marco Santangelo, Jordan Christian,
Justin Collins, Bijan Ewalt, David Jenkins and Tyler Simmons, while Troy
Davidson, Kevin Yoches, Brian Walton, Scott Nickerson and goalkeeper Sam
Coons anchored the defense.
