Baseball: Vanguard drops doubleheader

RIVERSIDE - Vanguard University’s baseball team lost twice to host
Cal Baptist Saturday in Golden State Athletic Conference games.
In the opener, Cal Baptist’s Jeremy Ramsey drove in three runs as his
team won, 8-4. Ryan Dambach went 3 for 4 for Vanguard and scored one run.
Matt Tisthammer got the Lions’ lone RBI.
In the second game, Cal Baptist (3-3, 2-0 in conference) pitcher Tim
Stien threw a four-hit shutout as Vanguard lost, 3-0, in a seven-inning
game. Vanguard dropped to (0-3, 0-2).
