Two arrested in home burglary case

Two Long Beach men were arrested in connection with a Laguna Beach home burglary Tuesday morning, police said.

Eric Woodson, 24, was arrested on suspicion of burglary and Eddie Turner, also 24, on suspicion of conspiracy to commit a crime, Sgt. Louise Callus wrote in an email.

Police said the men tried to take personal electronics and jewelry worth $70,000 from a house in the 600 block of Short Street at 9:54 a.m. There were no signs of forced entry and the homeowner was not inside at the time, Callus added.

A neighbor told police that he saw two men outside the house and that one of them dropped some items.

Woodson and Turner were corralled by police a short distance away on Legion Street, Callus said.
