Ft. Carson in Colorado put on lockdown after report of shots fired

Ft. Carson near Colorado Springs was put on lockdown Monday night after a report of shots fired on or around the Army post.
The report came in around 7:50 p.m. local time, according to a news release from Ft. Carson authorities.
It is not an active shooter situation, but there is an increased security presence while authorities investigate what happened, according to the release.
As of 8:30 p.m. local time, it was unclear if the lockdown had been lifted.
