A 49-year-old woman was arrested Friday after confessing to killing her roommate at the Garden Grove board-and-care facility where they lived, police said.
Lucie Wardell was arrested on suspicion of murder in the death of Hoa Sui, a 50-year-old woman with whom she shared a room at the Chapman Board and Care home on Chapman Avenue, according to Garden Grove police.
Garden Grove Fire Department personnel arrived at the home to aid in what they were first told was a resident’s possible heart attack. But they found Sui dead, with lacerations around her face and neck, officials said. Wardell was questioned and confessed, but officials say the motive is unclear so far.
