Three people, including a 4-year-old girl, were shot Friday during an apparent home-invasion robbery in Covina, police said.
Authorities were called to the 300 block of South Cedar Drive about 12:30 p.m., said Covina police Sgt. Ray Marquez.
Los Angeles County Fire Inspector Scott Miller said two victims -- a man and the child -- were airlifted to a hospital. A third person had a graze wound, he said.
The shooter has not been located, Marquez said.
According to the San Gabriel Valley Tribune, a man rang the doorbell at the home, then forced himself inside when the door was opened, firing his weapon moments later.
The gunman is believed to have stolen jewelry. He first fled on foot, then got into a dark gold vehicle, police told the newspaper.
