An Anaheim man accused of shooting another man in a bar fight in Stanton turned himself in Friday after a three-hour standoff with deputies at his home, officials said.
Leobardo Villadares, 43, will be arraigned Monday on one felony count of murder and a sentencing enhancement for the personal discharge of a firearm causing death, according to the Orange County district attorney’s office.
Villadares allegedly got into a confrontation Sept. 15 with Francisco Salgado Torres, 48, in front of the Oasis Bar, where Villadares was a regular.
Villadares shot Torres twice and fled, according to the district attorney’s statement.
Villadares turned himself in as members of the Orange County sheriff’s SWAT team were preparing to enter his home at 3 a.m. after a three-hour standoff, the statement said.
He was being held in lieu of $1-million bail.
