An 18-year-old man was charged Wednesday with one count of murder in the shooting death of his girlfriend, who was found dead in his parents’ Pasadena home where they were living, prosecutors announced.
Jonjon Crummie, 18, was arrested Monday at the Los Angeles County Medical Center after his mother brokered a surrender deal with authorities, the Pasadena Police Department said. He had been identified as a suspect in the death of his live-in girlfriend, Irais Acosta, 19, earlier in the day.
Acosta was found dead in a room they shared in the 1500 block of North Raymond Avenue on Sunday morning after police responded to calls of shots fired.
