A man was ejected from his vehicle and killed in a traffic collision Saturday on the eastbound 210 Freeway in Sylmar, authorities said.
According to initial reports, the collision occurred about 12:05 p.m. near Yarnell Street and involved at least two vehicles, one of which may have been a big rig, California Highway Patrol Officer Peter Bishop said.
The victim, believed to be about 30, was pronounced dead at the scene, Bishop said. Another man, believed to be about 50, was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Responding agencies helped clean up about 20 to 30 gallons of diesel fuel that had spilled from one of the vehicles, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Erik Scott said.
