One person killed in accident on I-15 in Lake Elsinore

One person died Sunday after a vehicle crashed through a fence and into a field off northbound Interstate 15 in Lake Elsinore, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officers were called to the accident scene about 12:45 p.m., finding the vehicle in a field off the freeway, the agency reported.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
