LAPD Deputy Chief Kenneth O. Garner was remembered today for his strong relationship with residents of South Los Angeles -- the community where he was raised and grew up to protect. About 1,500 people, including L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and LAPD Chief William J. Bratton, gathered at the Crenshaw Christian Center for his funeral.
