Sochi Olympics: Canada defeats Switzerland, 5-0, in women’s hockey

SOCHI, Russia - Swiss goalie Florence Schelling did all she could, but Canada was too much for Switzerland in a 5-0 victory in the opening game for each team in the women’s hockey tournament.
Jocelyne Larocque, Tara Watchorn, Hayley Wickenheiser, Marie-Philip Poulin and Rebecca Johnston scored for Canada against Schelling, who made an amazing 64 saves as Canada outshot the Swiss, 69-14.
Goalie Charline Labonte earned the shutout for Canada, the three-time defending champion.
