Britneys comeback performance at the MTV Video Music Awards
A low point for MTV, Spears, television, and the world, Britneys performance at the VMAs was clearly a ratings ploy for an awards show that is losing its relevance. Spears, dressed in a sequined bikini, sleep-walked her way through a dull performance, allowing backup dancers to do all the work for her.
