Oh, the joy of bringing home a fresh loaf of bread -- a crispy baguette, a luscious challah, a sturdy slab of wheat. And how soon that satisfaction turns to guilt as we watch those loaves diminishing and growing stale.
But there are better options to tossing out those lingering slices. Bread has many second acts: French toast, bread pudding, croutons, bread crumbs.
