New York Fashion Week: At Calvin Klein, modern architecture and shine
- Share via
Rooney Mara and Sarah Jessica Parker were front-row eye candy at the Calvin Klein show Thursday afternoon at New York Fashion Week, where designer Francisco Costa served up a spring collection notable for its architectural fabric and color blocking.
The look: Modern sophisticate with a whiff of sensuality.
Key pieces: Knit patchwork dresses with metal accents or racer backs. Patchwork tunics over cropped, flared pants or fluted skirts. Glossy leather skirts, coats and dresses, the best in a beautiful shade of lipstick red lacquer. Iridescent metallic viscose knit dresses and tops.
The verdict: Although Costa did manage a certain artfulness, particularly with the knitwear, not enough pieces really stood out.
