The Santa Barbara International Film Festival doesn’t roll around until February, but that doesn’t mean it’s too early for a black-tie pre-party. The fest’s annual fall benefit dinner and tribute acts as both a fundraiser and a chance to present a veteran actor or filmmaker with the Kirk Douglas Award for Excellence in Film.
