The Roosevelts: An Intimate History A devastating illness leaves the political future — and life — of FDR (voice of Edward Herrmann) in jeopardy as the new Ken Burns miniseries continues. 8 and 10 p.m. KOCE
Red Band Society Red is the color of the wristbands worn by young patients in the pediatric ward of a Los Angeles hospital in this new drama. Octavia Spencer portrays a nurse who shows the youths — including a comatose one played by Griffin Gluck — great compassion as they also get support from one another. Dave Annable also stars. 9 p.m. Fox
Legends After a shootout with the smuggling crew, Martin (Sean Bean) takes Dobson (Kirk Acevedo) into custody and has to get him medical attention in this new episode. 9 p.m. TNT
Extant The season finale puts Molly (Halle Berry) back in orbit to try to keep lethal spores from reaching Earth. Goran Visnjic and Pierce Gagnon also star with guest star Charlie Bewley. 10 p.m. CBS
The Mysteries of Laura Debra Messing stars in this new comedy as a New York homicide detective with young twin sons and a soon-to-be ex-husband (Josh Lucas) — who happens to be her new boss. Laz Alonso co-stars. 10 p.m. NBC
Restaurant: Impossible In this new episode chef Robert Irvine (who served in the British military) visits an American Army base at Fort Bragg, N.C., where one of the only full-service restaurants on the post — the Green Beret Club — is badly in need of a rescue. 10 p.m. Food
Franklin & Bash In this new episode Peter’s (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) mother (Jane Seymour) brings the boys a case involving an injured stripper. Breckin Meyer and Reed Diamond also star and Kevin McKidd and James Remar guest star. 10 p.m. TNT
