Grand Ole Echo Americana shows resume April 14

The Grand Ole Echo weekly series of free all-ages concerts by Americana and country bands gets off to its eighth season on April 14 with the Americans, Phoebe Bridges and La Route playing from 5:30 to 9 p.m.
The first concert will be held at the Echoplex, below the Echo, but in succeeding weeks the afternoon music and barbecue event will move back upstairs to its traditional home at the Echo.
Upcoming shows will feature Eilen Jewell, Ronnie Fauss, Chris Schiflett, I See Hawks in L.A., Olin & the Moon, Dan Janisch and other performers divvied up between a main stage and a “back porch” low-fi second stage.
Grand Ole Echo creator Kim Grant, main stage talent booker Matt Farber and back porch booking agent Ben Reddell recently made a splash in Austin, Texas, at the South By Southwest Music Conference with their Grand Ole Austin show, flagged in Los Angeles magazine as one of “Five Amazing Moments at SXSW.”
The Echo is at 1822 Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles, while the Echoplex’s address is 1154 Glendale Blvd., L.A. Admission is free, but priority entrance is given to those who RSVP on the Echo’s website.
