‘Mean Girls’: Where are they now?

Amanda Seyfried If her name’s not entirely familiar yet, know that you’ve already seen Seyfried all around town on those ubiquitous “Mamma Mia!” billboards. (Spolier: She steals the show as the only “Mamma” actor who can really sing.) Seyfried, who played the ditzy Karen in "Mean Girls," has worked steadily since, appearing on “CSI,” “Veronica Mars” and now regularly on HBO’s “Big Love.” She’s also on tap for “Girlfight” director Karyn Kusama’s darkly comedic thriller “Jennifer’s Body.”

When “Mean Girls” catapulted Lindsay Lohan into the big time, her taste in movie roles fell just as quickly. There was Disney’s middle-of-the-road “Herbie: Fully Loaded,” the laborious “ Georgia Rule” and the Razzie Award magnet “I Know Who Killed Me.” With her addictions and love life now seemingly in check, it’s business as usual. Lohan next stars in the comedy “Labor Pains” as a woman who pretends to be pregnant to avoid getting fired from her job – it features “ American Idol” finalist and Chicken Little doppelganger Kevin Covais, so we’re not sure whether or not this is a good move -- and this fall she stars as Betty’s former high school nemesis in “Ugly Betty.”  (Tracy Bennett / Associated Press)
