Hollywood Headlines: a crazy week in review

Whatever version you’ve been listening to, who doesn’t love the new Cee-Lo tune? Well, now comes word that none other than Gwyneth Paltrow will be belting out a version herself on an upcoming episode of “Glee!” It’s a great song for her to get her pipes around, but we’ll have to wait until next year to see it. Bristol Palin doesn’t want the world to remember she was a single teen mom. That’s presumably why she’s banned the cast of the MTV reality show “Teen Mom” from the “Dancing With the Stars” set. Apparently she made it clear to the show’s producers that she didn’t want teen moms in the audience “cheering her on no matter how much it might boost ratings.” Awww, Bristol. You may want us to forget you sired a child while still a child yourself. But we won’t be forgetting any time soon -- especially now. Lil Wayne is a free man! The rap superstar was released from jail after serving eight months on a weapons charge. Will his first demand be an MP3 player? He was popped into solitary after one was found hidden in his cell’s trash can (does that mean he listens to garbage?) but that hasn’t affected his good behavior standing. The Internet lit up this fall with tales of Demi Lovato falling off the Jonas Brothers tour to head into a rehab-of-sorts. But what happened? Initial speculation points to a fight Demi had with a female dancer on the tour. Word has it that after tales of a night of “partying” got out, Lovato placed the blame of whistle-blowing on a dancer. That, in turn, allegedly led to fisticuffs which left the dancer a little beaten and Lovato a little shaken (aww, poor girl), and she decided that she needed to get help. Julien Hug was reported missing on Monday and found dead Wednesday off of Highway 74 in Riverside County. Hug, a contestant in Season 5 of “The Bachelorette,” was last heard from Monday before his cellphone went dead. The body was found in a remote area that the sheriff’s department described as a part “you would need to hike into.” The cause of death is still unknown. With Jessica Simpson becoming more and more a distant memory, Nick Lachey announced this week that he and Vanessa Minnillo are going to tie the knot. Nicky and Vanessa began dating back in 2006 and despite a brief break in 2009, they’ve been pretty much inseparable, and decided to go ahead and jump the broom together. Kanye West isn’t done apologizing. But we’re not talking about Taylor Swift. No, this November he apologized to none other than George W. Bush. Kanye has said that when he labeled Bush a bigot (after the Hurricane Katrina debacle), he was speaking out of turn. He says now he’s been called a bigot himself and he understands that it’s a fairly powerful thing to accuse someone of being. Kanye says that all he and Bush are guilty of is a lack of compassion.
