Hollywood Headlines: a crazy week in review

“My Name Is Earl” star Jaime Pressly was arrested on suspicion of driving drunk in Santa Monica on Wednesday. The 33-year-old was arrested close to midnight and released the next day on $15,000 bail -- much higher than the typical $5,000. The harsher bail amount can be imposed when a person’s blood-alcohol content is higher than 0.15 (the legal limit is 0.08), although Jaime’s actual BAC has not been made public. The winning Mega Millions lottery numbers in Idaho and Washington took on a spooky twist this week -- four of six numbers matched those that “Lost’s” Hurley used to win a jackpot. Baby sis Khloe Kardashian is getting her own reality show, this one featuring her and husband Lamar Odom. And why not? Getting your own reality show is a rite of passage for a Kardashian. Khloe explains that “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” only features a little bit of their lives, but this new one -- appropriately entitled “Khloe & Lamar” -- will be ALL Khloe (and Lamar) ALL the time. Rumor has it that Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal‘s whirlwind romance is now just a breezy memory. Gyllenhaal’s would-be groupies around the world are snickering in delight. It’s a busy week in that roundabout of celebrity make-n-break romances. In the “started dating” couple category: Meg Ryan and John Cougar Mellencamp. Now, we know this news would be a lot juicer if it was 1989, but it’s still fairly salacious stuff considering the Coug was seen cozying up with Meg just days after the news about his split with wife (and former supermodel) Elaine Irwin, pictured here with the singer in October.
