We haven’t heard from Mel Gibson in a while. He’s been busy laying low since those tapes of him ranting at his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva went public. Well, not anymore. The “Beaver” star opened up to Deadline Hollywood, shedding light on what happened. The recordings were “one terribly awful moment in time, said to one person, in the span of one day” and something that “doesn’t represent what I truly believe or how I’ve treated people my entire life,” he said. He further explained, “You have to put it all in the proper context of being in an irrationally heated discussion at the height of a breakdown, trying to get out of a really unhealthy relationship.” (Mark Boster / Associated Press)
Poor Rebecca Black. She’s getting death threats. Seems extreme, especially when all the 13-year-old did was release a bad song. In any case, Anaheim police are investigating a call to the “Friday” singer’s management company and an email to her production company asking her to remove the TGIF ditty from the Web. It turns out everyone’s favorite show-mance turned real-life romance is finally going public. That’s right, “Twilight” couple Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were caught smooching Sunday at the “Water for Elephants” premiere after-party, and there’s a photo to prove it. Of course, steamy kisses are nothing for this pair, who have been making out on camera since 2008.
What happened after “American Idol’s” Season 9? Kara DioGuardi left the show, but was she fired? Did she quit? Finally we’ve got answers. The former judge explains everything in her new memoir, “A Helluva High Note,” saying her contract was on shaky ground so she asked to leave. That little tidbit is nothing compared to the bombshells she drops about the music biz, including being the victim of date rape and sexual harassment during her days as an up-and-coming songwriter. Prince William took time out from wedding planning this week to visit the grave of his mother, Princess Diana, on Oval Island at Althorp Estate. The future king and his bride-to-be kept the special trip to her island tomb a secret from everyone except Diana’s brother Charles Spencer. They reportedly laid flowers and wandered the grounds hand-in-hand.
Last week Demi Lovato revealed her past struggles with depression and eating disorders and now she’s opening up about bipolar disorder. “I never found out until I went into treatment that I was bipolar,” Lovato told People. “Looking back it makes sense. There were times when I was so manic, I was writing seven songs in one night and I’d be up until 5:30 in the morning.”
She was also quick to show her support for Catherine Zeta Jones, who recently checked into a mental health facility for the treatment of bipolar II disorder. “I don’t know Catherine Zeta-Jones personally, but what she has decided to do it SO brave.. And SO difficult but worth it.... I’m proud of her,” Lovato wrote on Twitter. (Yuri Cortez / AFP / Getty Images)
