Abdi Manavi and Jerry Garcia (pictured here in a picture from 2008 inside the space), are two of the co-owners involved in opening up Supperclub at the Vogue Theater. The duo have been working for nearly a year already on transforming the dilapidated Vogue Theatre near Highland on Hollywood Blvd. into the L.A. outpost of the experiential international chain, which already has an oupost in San Francisco. Nacional hopes to morph into a live music club by the end of May called 45, according to a representative for the space. The bi-level bar on Wilcox Avenue aims to be “a home for rockers, celebs and music lovers to rub shoulders and listen to top-notch bands in an edgy-Hollywood, yet intimate setting,” per a statement released to the Times.  (Lawrence K. Marty Collins, right president and CEO of Gatehouse Capital and ABC Late Night Host Jimmy Kimmel pose for photos on the rooftop of the W Hollywood Hotel & Residences late last year. The forthcoming nightclub at the W is located on the same roof and will feature some of Las Vegas’ best-known night life fixtures such as Victor Drai and Cy Waits as guiding forces behind the 20,000 square foot destination. Chris Breed is back in the mix at 1743 N Cahuenga Blvd. in Hollywood. Formerly White Lotus (pictured) and most recently Ritual, the large venue will soon become Halo after a light remodel. The inside of the club, which will re-open with a grand opening as early as March 27 if all goes well, will be evocative of “old Hollywood glamour” instead of Ritual’s faux-Asian feel.  (Richard Hartog / Los Angeles Times)

Essex promises an upscale pub-like experience when it opens in Hollywood this summer. The gastropub, designed by Kris Keith of Spacecraft design (Bar Delux) is located at 6683 Hollywood Blvd. and will serve up multiple beers and feature modern elements juxtaposed against traditional pub furnishings.  (Ringo H.W. Looking for a new bar to hang after taking in a movie at the Arclight? Boho, which just opened at 6372 W Sunset Blvd., might be your new favorirte meeting spot in Hollywood. Owned in part by Adolfo Suaya and chef Andre Guerrero, the new lounge features beers selected by Verdugo’s Ryan Sweeney (think Allagash White from Portland, Maine, or a St.Bernardus Tripel from Belgium).  (Ringo H.W.
