Joan Rivers has been moved out of an intensive care unit in New York City and is “being kept comfortable,” in a private room, her daughter, Melissa Rivers, said today in a statement.
Melissa Rivers went on to thank people for their support since her mother, the 81-year-old comic and TV personality, was said to have gone into cardiac arrest on Thursday morning after she stopped breathing during an outpatient throat procedure at a doctor’s office.
On Tuesday, Melissa Rivers said her mother was still on life support and the E! network announced it was putting the show “Fashion Police” on hold for a couple of weeks.
“We will not be producing a ‘Fashion Police’ this week or next as we await Joan and Melissa’s return in front and behind the camera,” a network spokesperson said Tuesday.
