Jennifer Aniston takes Oscars dis in stride: ‘I’m the No. 1 snubbed!’

For Jennifer Aniston, it’s an honor not to be nominated: She’s looking on the bright side after being overlooked for an Oscar nomination this year.
“I’m the No. 1 snubbed!” the “Cake” star joked on Monday’s episode of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” “It’s a silver lining, right?!”
The film still hasn’t made it to wide release yet (and won’t until Jan. 23), but the drama is still generating a lot of buzz for the “Friends” alum, who underwent a physical transformation to play a woman suffering from chronic pain after a car accident. Turns out that the buzz, which clinched Golden Globe and SAG Award nominations for the actress, translates into a win in her book.
“It hasn’t even come out,” she said. “That’s the crazy thing. I mean, we’re so shocked and amazed that we have had this much love at all for a movie that hasn’t even been released yet.”
In an interview with Allure, Aniston voiced her frustration about getting acting acclaim only after toning down her pretty persona to a “physically mangled” one.
“A woman going physically unattractive is where you get recognition and some sort of respect. You read things like, ‘Oh, finally, she’s acting!’” she scoffed, adding that paying more attention to a woman’s appearance in a film is “quite sexist, to be honest, because men don’t get that.”
The 45-year-old was also confronted by DeGeneres about “groping” pal Kate Hudson’s derriere while they were doing an E! interview on the Golden Globes red carpet earlier this month.
“Well, my gosh, look at that ass,” Aniston said as a picture of her and Hudson appeared onscreen. “It’s such an irresistible tush. My God, and I’m allowed. Ryan Seacrest tried... “
And failed, he did.
