Time Warner Cable to start carrying Al Jazeera America this week

Time Warner Cable will start carrying the news channel Al Jazeera America this week.
According to the cable operator’s website, Al Jazeera America will launch as early as this Friday on many Time Warner Cable systems around the country, including those in New York and Los Angeles.

In Los Angeles, Al Jazeera America will be on channels 445 (high definition) and 227 (standard definition). The channel will be on the cable company’s “Variety Tier.”
Time Warner Cable agreed to carry Al Jazeera America in October, about two months after the news channel made its debut.
