Carolina Panthers all-pro Ryan Kalil finds a spot in Manhattan Beach

Four-time Pro Bowl center Ryan Kalil of the Carolina Panthers has made a play away from the field, buying a house in Manhattan Beach for $3.3 million.

Found in the city’s Gaslight District, an area known for its streets lined with original gas-burning lamps, the property centers on a 1950s ranch-style house with 1,842 square feet of living space in a single story.

Interiors done in wood-paneled walls include a living room with a brick fireplace, a dining room, three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Large expanses of grass and mature trees make up the grounds. There’s also an attached two-car garage.

Kalil, 30, has ties to Southern California, having attended the University of Southern California, and before that, at Servite High School in Anaheim. A second-round pick in 2007, the offensive lineman has spent his entire career with the Panthers and was a first-team All-Pro in 2013.

He is in the fifth year of a six-year, $49-million extension signed in 2011.

The house came to market in July for $3.495 million, records show.

Matt Waxman of One Pacific Real Estate was the listing agent, according to the Multiple Listing Service. Ed Kaminsky of Shorewood Realtors represented Kalil.
