Music exec Ron Fair hauls in about $8.12 million for Brentwood compound

The final price tag ended up more than $7 million shy of what they originally asked, but veteran music executive Ron Fair and his wife, singer-actress Stefanie Ridel, finally have a home sale in Brentwood.

The couple’s gated compound sold last week for roughly $8.12 million — a far cry from the original asking price of $15.5 million.

Set on an acre of grounds, the compound comprises five structures including a plantation-style main house that dates to 1940.

There is 10,895 square feet of interior in the main house, which features dark hardwood floors. Common areas include a formal living room with a fireplace and a dining room set beneath a mirrored ceiling. A blue-accented chef’s kitchen lined with subway tile holds an island and eat-in dining area.

Other amenities include a lounge with a wraparound bar and a glass-walled office. The master suite, which has a boutique-inspired bathroom, opens to a wide balcony overlooking the backyard.

Outside, brickwork surrounds a swimming pool and spa. The lot includes a small pond, a greenhouse and two guest casitas. There are a total of nine bedrooms and 16 bathrooms.

The property previously changed hands a decade ago for $7.25 million, records show.

Tracy Tutor Maltas of Douglas Elliman was the listing agent. Ann H. Dashiell, also of Douglas Elliman, represented the buyer. The exact sale price was $8,118,000.

Fair has spent time with A&M Records, Geffen Records and Virgin Records during his career, collaborating with artists such as Christina Aguilera and Fergie along the way.

Ridel rose to prominence alongside Fergie in the female R&B group Wild Orchid in the ‘90s. Since then she has composed music for the Pussycat Dolls and Bonnie Tyler. She also has several TV and movie credits as an actor, including in the series “Blossom,” and a songwriter
