Lane Kiffin, off to Alabama, sells Manhattan Beach home

Former USC football coach Lane Kiffin and his wife, Layla, have sold their home in Manhattan Beach for $6.5 million.
They bought the house less than two years ago for $5.5 million.
The 7,308-square-foot contemporary Craftsman-style home, built in 2002 and later updated, sits on nearly half an acre at the end of a cul-de-sac. Among interior features are vaulted ceilings, a stone fireplace, six bedrooms and seven bathrooms. The three-car garage opens to a gated driveway.

The grounds include a saltwater swimming pool and spa, a fire pit, a guest house, an outdoor kitchen, a dog run and mature trees.
Kiffin, 38, was coach of the Trojans from 2010 until September. He is now offensive coordinator for the University of Alabama Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
The most expensive home on the market in that Alabama hamlet is priced at $3.2 million, according to Realtor.com. The 10,000-square-foot mansion sits on a lake.
