“Painting Women” is an art exhibition presented by the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. The collection showcases 34 paintings spanning from 1860 to 1950 and illustrates women artists, their activism and their artistic achievements. Mary Cassatt, Georgia O’Keeffe and Berthe Morisot are among the masters whose work will be on display. A portrait by French painter Louise Elisabeth Vigee Le Brun, a predecessor and role model to many of the featured artists, will introduce the series. The retrospective is on view through Oct. 23.
