Las Vegas Halloween 2013

Pumpkin patches and parades are fine fun for families, but in Vegas, the best tricks and treats are for adults. Check out some of Sin City’s most scream-worthy events this All Hallows’ Eve.
Enter the Gates of Hell
For those feeling especially brave, the Freakling Bros.’ Trilogy of Terror returns on Oct. 4 through Halloween night, offering guests three haunted houses to explore — including the R-rated Gates of Hell. For guests 17 or older, Gates of Hell has an actual electric fence, guaranteeing at least a few screams. And be ready to sign a waiver that you won’t sue the pants off of them for scaring the pants off of you.

Tour the Fright Dome
Speaking of screams, Fright Dome returns to the Adventuredome at Circus Circus for its 11th year from Oct. 3 to Oct. 31. Featuring more than 250,000 scare feet including — for the first time ever — six haunted houses, this year promises to be Fright Dome’s most terrifying yet. Buy a VIP pass for access to an exclusive experience, themed after the movie “The Collection,” which guests enter alone, so there’s no safety in numbers.

Live Out Your Fantasies
Of course, the sexiest soirees happen late at night, and the mother lode is the Hard Rock Hotel’s Fetish & Fantasy Halloween Ball, which doesn’t even start until 10 p.m. on the night of Saturday, Oct. 26 (and has an after-hours party that goes until 6 a.m.). The one Halloween party you won’t want to miss, this extravagant and sinful event takes place at the Joint Las Vegas.

Halloween at ACT
For a more frightful experience, the ACT Nightclub inside the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian l The Palazzo will be hosting a Paranormal Proclivities Party on Halloween night featuring actors in costume, performing special paranormal acts. Known for its Vaudevillian feel and theatrics, the club will go all out for the occasion, which coincides with its star-studded first anniversary celebration Nov. 1 and 2.
