Desert hotel is not for kids
I’ve never stayed at the Colony Palms [“TLC Is MIA at Palm Springs Inn,” Hotel Review, Feb. 17], and after your description of children splashing in the pool, I most likely never will. Your clueless query as to why the Colony Palms Hotel was not friendly to you is contained early on in your story: The hotel’s apparent target market is rich, childless travelers. Rather than insisting that every place on the planet welcome and accommodate your little darlings, you might consider that the hotel’s apparent target market might be seeking a bit of peace in a serene environment. Finding the little beasts less amusing than you do, no one wants to encourage your return.
