Rounding up more questions

A follow-up question about the shippers’ round-up math -- rounding a package weight up to the nearest pound -- occurs to me (“Firms round up; we pay the price,” Consumer Confidential, Feb. 17).
Do they use the same standard of rounding up to calculate the actual weight of a shipment when they buy the jet fuel to power their overnight flights?
I’ll bet, especially with fuel prices at a premium, that they calculate those planeloads down to the gram to wring their money’s worth out of every drop of gas.
By the way, the U.S. Postal Service rounds to the ounce. Sounds like its time for a good old-fashioned class-action lawsuit.
