They like Dwyre

The only thing Bill Dwyre missed in his Feb. 19 column was that when Roger Clemens walks into that news conference with Sen. Mitchell, he brings the three or four Cy Young Awards that he did not deserve.

Why doesn’t Dwyre have a column in the paper every day? He always writes without the vitriol or pseudo-poetry of The Times’ other columnists. And sometimes he reveals actual wisdom, like in the piece on Clemens, with a humble way out of this whole mess. That his advice wouldn’t be taken in a million years makes it no less thoughtful or provocative.
