More patients, profit for DaVita

DaVita Inc., the El Segundo-based operator of dialysis centers, said fourth-quarter profit rose as the company increased the number of clinics and treated more patients.
Net income rose to $85.7 million, or 79 cents a share, from $74.1 million, or 70 cents, a year earlier, DaVita said. Revenue was $1.35 billion, beating Wall Street estimates of $1.33 billion.
DaVita shares rose 19 cents to $54.19.
