Family pets become victims

Shame on the homeowners who are dumping their pets. (“Foreclosures leaving pets in the doghouse,” Feb. 1.) The market is what it is, and it’s a shame that many are losing their homes. But to not go the distance for their pets is a crime.
Finding housing should include all members of the family -- including the pets.
