FCC to vote on DirecTV stake

The head of the Federal Communications Commission is proposing that the agency approve Liberty Media Corp.’s acquisition of News Corp.’s stake in El Segundo-based DirecTV Group Inc.
Chairman Kevin J. Martin said the matter would be put to a vote by the five-member FCC at its next open meeting Feb. 26. Martin said he was proposing that some conditions that had been imposed on News Corp. in connection with the DirecTV stake remain in force after the deal.
