Woman held in mother’s slaying

A homeless woman has been arrested in the fatal stabbing of her 69-year-old mother at her Simi Valley home, police said Wednesday.
Rose Drinkhouse Weiss was found at her home in the 5300 block of Diane Street about 2:45 p.m. Tuesday by police who received a call to check on her welfare, authorities said.
Detectives later arrested Weiss’ daughter, Lauren Donahue, on suspicion of killing her mother, authorities said. She remains in custody.
