AN HONEST PORTRAIT

When Granville Van Dusen (pictured) was offered the role of Honest Abe in Peter King Beach’s one-man show “The Memoirs of Abraham Lincoln,” the actor’s response was something along the lines of, “Lincoln’s been done to death.” But after reading Beach’s take on America’s 16th president, Van Dusen changed his mind. “It is a whole new look at Lincoln -- his wife, the war, his law practice,” he says. “It’s Lincoln coming back from the dead to set the record straight.” Opens 8 p.m. Fri.; runs 8 p.m. Wed.-Sat., 4 p.m. Sun.; ends March 2. $25-$37.50.
