Update: After a two-day break mandated by the collective bargaining agreement, the Kings begin a home-and-home sequence with the Coyotes that will end Saturday in Glendale, Ariz. They struggled against their division rival last season, going 2-6. The Kings’ last game before the break was a 3-0 victory at Columbus, with Jonathan Quick earning his first NHL shutout, in net, but they were 0-2-2 in their previous four. The Coyotes are 2-1-3 in their last six and have earned at least a point in seven of their last eight. Their power play ranks 27th in the NHL at 14.4%
