Huskies already are at the top

“I’m going to get them back fighting for a championship,” USC offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian said of the Washington Huskies, the team he has been hired to coach.
Just a minute: The Huskies just won a championship -- of the Bottom Ten.
Washington, at 0-12 the only winless team in the nation, notched a clutch 7-48 loss to California to capture the title.
It was a disappointment for Washington State fans, who pointed out their school gave up more than 50 points six times during the season. But the Cougars’ untimely 16-13 win over Washington couldn’t be overlooked.
And so, the Huskies were the recipients of the Bottom Ten trophy, a Velveeta cheese statuette of Ryan Leaf being sacked.
