A North Korean fishing boat and a South Korean cargo ship collided early today, leaving two North Koreans missing, officials said.
The collision occurred near the eastern sea border between the Koreas, said a South Korean Defense Ministry official.
The official said two of four North Koreans aboard the fishing boat were rescued.
Kim Young-il, a spokesman for the Unification Ministry, said the South Korean ship was carrying sand from North Korea.
