La Canada St. Francis 31, Encino Crespi 15--Junior running back Kevin Herron rushed for 174 yards in 24 carries and scored two touchdowns to help the Golden Knights (5-3) win their Mission League opener.
Herron, who has rushed for 100 or more yards in four of the Golden Knights’ eight games, gave his team a 17-7 halftime lead by scoring on a six-yard run with 14 seconds left in the second quarter. St. Francis plays Sherman Oaks Notre Dame for the league title next week.
