Westchester 73, St. Petersburg (Fla.) Lakewood 66--Brandon Heath and Trevor Ariza each had 16 points for Westchester (6-0) in the opening round of the Fort Myers (Fla.) Bishop Verot tournament. Ariza had 13 rebounds. Westchester will play Miami Christian in today.
Hacienda Heights Wilson 81, Whittier California 80--Larry Parker made a three-point basket with two seconds left for Wilson (6-2).

In girls’ basketball:
Alhambra Keppel 68, Long Beach Wilson 56--Mary Toledo and Krista Arase each scored 14 points for Mark Keppel (9-1) in the second round of the Artesia tournament. Brandi Knight scored 24 points for the Bruins (5-2).
