Pedestrian Dies After Being Hit by Car

A Sun Valley woman in her 70s was hit by a car while crossing a street and died of her injuries, police said Tuesday.
Gabriela Mexicanos was not in a crosswalk when she was struck about 6 p.m. Monday at Webb Avenue and Rialto Street, Officer James LaForce said.
The driver will not be charged, officials said.
Mexicanos, 76, was taken to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, where she died.
