A 28-year-old man was shot to death Saturday morning outside a motel, authorities said.
The victim, whose name was not released, was standing in front of the Westland Motel in the 11700 block of Imperial Highway about 11:15 a.m. when he got into an argument with the gunman, said Sheriff’s Deputy Rich Pena.
As the victim tried to get away, he was shot in the upper body, Pena said. The man staggered to the nearby Keystone Motel, where he collapsed in the driveway.
He was taken to St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood, where he was pronounced dead, Pena said. Anyone with information may call detectives at (323) 890-5500.
