UCI’s Parada to Play for Mexico’s National Team

UC Irvine basketball player Adam Parada has been selected to compete for the Mexican national team in the qualifying tournament for the Federation of Pan American Basketball Assns. world championships scheduled Thursday through Aug. 26 in Neuquen, Argentina.
Parada, a sophomore center from Alta Loma High, was selected to the Big West Conference all-freshman team last season. He averaged 7.6 points and a team-leading 6.2 rebounds.
