A Huntington Beach man who failed to stop for a traffic violation and led police on a brief chase was arrested Thursday after the stolen car he was driving crashed into a Sunset Beach home, police said.
No one inside the house was injured, Seal Beach Police Sgt. Tim Olson said.
Police tried to stop Jace A. Remington, 22, for speeding in a Honda Accord about 12:15 a.m. Thursday. He crashed into a home in the 16000 block of 11th Street and fled, but was arrested about an hour later after neighbors alerted police to a trail of blood that led to the sun deck of a condominium complex, Olson said.
Remington was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital, then booked at the Orange County Jail on suspicion of grand theft auto, evading arrest, driving under the influence and other outstanding warrants. The Accord had been reported stolen in Tacoma, Wash.
